The Italian fashion house Fendi was founded by the young married couple Adele Casagrande and Edoardo Fendi. It was originally a leather goods boutique that handcrafted quality products for special customers. Over time, the company has grown and gained worldwide fame. The brand's trademark since its inception in 1925 has been the use of high-quality leather and fur. In 1966, the brand launched an iconic collection of fur coats and became the leading producer of fur products in Europe. Having its own workshop, every year, Fendi creates luxurious fur coats, elegant jackets, and capes. In 1977, the product line expansion led to casual wear, jeans, gloves, ties, glasses, and other stylish items. In the same way as Gucci or Louis Vuitton, Fendi followed the logomania trend, which resulted in the brand's name acquiring a creative meaning and an important spot within the fashion world. Today the fashion house specialises in the production of women's and men's wardrobe items, bags, accessories, shoes, and other goods to satisfy the most demanding customer. Throughout the years, the brand's designers were designers Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi. Nowadays, the collections are created under the direction of Kim Jones.
