The Italian premium brand Gucci was founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, and originally was manufacturing travel bags, gloves, belts and shoes. After the founder's death, the brand was run by his sons. In 1994, Tom Ford took over the role creative director for the brand, ushering in the new era of the fashion house. He managed to form the recognizable DNA of the brand – a combination of femininity and sexuality. This introduced the appearance of bolder outfits, an abundance of slits, translucent fabrics and other materials with a glossy shine. Since 2006, Frida Gianni started creating collections for Gucci. Through her work the world saw famous flower patterns based on the gorgeous Flora drawing, bright-coloured stripes colors reminiscent of the classic Web-stripes. After a period of feminine glamour under the leadership of Frida Gianni in 2015, a new stage in the development of the brand began, led by Alessandro Michele.
