The Italian premium brand Gucci was founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, and originally was manufacturing travel bags, gloves, belts and shoes. After the founder's death, the brand was run by his sons. In 1994, Tom Ford took over the role creative director for the brand, ushering in the new era of the fashion house. He managed to form the recognizable DNA of the brand – a combination of femininity and sexuality. After a period of feminine glamour under the leadership of Frida Gianni in 2015, a new stage in the development of the brand began, led by Alessandro Michele.
