Jewellery and watch-making brand Harry Winston is the embodiment of filigree cutting technique and masterpiece designs. In creating its items, the company adheres to the philosophy that jewellery designs should be dictated by the stones themselves, and not by their setting. This revolutionary approach made the company famous in record time and garnered the brand's founder the status of "King of Diamonds". In 1940, the brand introduced the new Cluster stone setting technique, which allows the use of stones with different types of cuts. One of the most famous creations in this technique is the Emerald Cluster watch with its dazzling brilliance of stones. After the founder died in 1978, the brand passed into the hands of the jeweller's son, Ronald. He became turned out to be a worthy successor of the company's traditions, expanded the production of jewellery in various price ranges, and also created the first collection of wristwatches. The handcrafted Signature from The Ultimate Timepiece collection, the Biretrograde Perpetual Calendar with retrograde displays, has impressed connoisseurs around the world. The company introduced rhodium case watches in the Galatea line, which was their first women's collection. Later on, in 1998, the Ocean diving models were created with a platinum case, making them water-resistant up to a depth of one hundred meters.
