The fashion house Marni began its journey in 1994 with an experimental fur collection. Its founder, Swiss Consuelo Castiglioni, offered fashionistas annual collections of winter fur. Over time, a spring-summer line was launched. Marni appeared as an independent brand in 1999. The wardrobe items in the brand's collections have become recognizable with the use of printed designs, original colours, and stripes, abstract or geometric patterns. One of the hallmarks of Marni's style was colour contrast. One can also notice the brand's passion for shocking and fluorescent hues. For example, against the background of black, blue, or gray, shades of fuchsia and lemon act as bright accents. Also, the brand is distinguished by the use of wooden and plastic jewellery. Today the company offers a large selection of clothing, shoes, and accessories for women, men, and even children. Its creations combine quirkiness and Italian elegance, a sense of style, and practicality. In addition to their clothing line, the brand is also renowned for its trendy collections of shoes and accessories. Marni also became famous through its collaborations with H&M, Current/Elliott, with such well-known artists as Francesco Clemente, Annie Kevans, Dana Schutz, and others. Since 2016, the creative designer of the brand is Francesco Risso, a former designer for Prada. He continues to delight connoisseurs from all over the world with fresh ideas and excellent fashion shows.
