The idea behind world-famous brand Prada was conceived in 1913, when a family shop with travel bags and suitcases was opened in Milan. It belonged to Mario Prada. Over the years, the family business has grown into a brand offering only bags and other luxury travel items. In 1958 Louise Prada, the founder’s daughter, became the head of the company. Following this the brand expanded its sales boundaries, becoming part of the international market. In 1979, Miuccia Prada inherited the family business. Apart from accessories, this change led to the brand also producing premium women's clothing. The first pret-a-porte collection of 1989 captured the hearts of fashionistas through the use of seasoned colors, simple and feminine styles without excessive decor or ornamentation. Prada clothing quickly won the love of beauty connoisseurs from all over the world. In the 90s, the company launched mass production of accessories and sunglasses; many of these have become the brand's trademark. In addition to women's collections, Prada offers clothing, accessories and footwear for men. They have an innovative and rebellious spirit, combining high-quality materials with impeccable finishes. Today Prada clothing is associated with luxury, success and wealth. A disregard for fast-moving trends coupled with a focus on eclecticism made the brand's style recognizable and unique.
